The White City Council held it regular meeting on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Mayor Wright let the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was taken, council member present were Tammy Byers, Dave Cutler, Wayne Kelm, Deb Hopfinger and Scott Gladis, Chris Wilts was absent. Also present was Mayor Wright, Maintenance Supervisor Dan DeYoung and Finance Officer Mary Raine. Other people in attendance were Julie Westberg, Marvin Skovlund, Donna Wilson, Kathie Loban, Arlene Madsen, Susan Holida and Kelli Westberg.
All motions were unanimous unless otherwise noted. Motion by Hopfinger, seconded by Kelm to approve the minutes of the February meeting. Motion by Gladis, seconded by Hopfinger to abate property taxes $48.16 on trailer home owned by Dan & Patty DeYoung that was removed in July 2018. Motion by Kelm, seconded by Cutler to cancel election as not needed. Motion by Kelm, seconded by Hopfinger to have JA Consulting install new water meters. Motion by Kelm, seconded by Hopfinger to send disconnection notices to delinquent accounts. A special meeting was set for Monday, March 18, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the McKnight Community Center for the governing body to sit as Review Board of the City of White, Brookings County, SD. Motion by Hopfinger, seconded by Kelm to move into executive session at 8:15 pm. The Council came out of executive session at 8:16 pm. Motion by Kelm, seconded by Cutler to adjourn.
