September 7, 2021 White City Council Regular Meeting Minutes
The White City Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 7:00 pm at the McKnight Community Center. Mayor Gladis called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Roll call was taken, council members present were: Cutler, Schwartz, Kelm, Sunderland, Lagerstrom and Cassels. Others present were Aryn Looyenga. All motions were unanimous unless otherwise noted.
Mayor Gladis began the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by roll call.
Motion by Lagerstrom, seconded by Kelm to approve the agenda.
Motion by Kelm, seconded by Lagerstrom to approve the minutes from the August 2, 2021 meeting.

Public Comments: Councilman Lagerstrom mentioned that the Legion was going to do a special meal on Sunday, September 12, 2021 for the members of the National Guard. He
also stated that the Legion is looking to do a Lego building contest for the children in November. There will be more details to come.
Mayor Gladis presented the council with two applications, Denton Schwartz and Trevor Pownell to join the volunteer fire department. With the two new applicants, that brings the fire department total to 26 fire fighters.
Motion by Sunderland, seconded by Lagerstrom to approve the new members on the fire department.
The council had their first reading for the 2022 Appropriation Ordinance No. 161.
Motion by Kelm, seconded by Lagerstrom to approve the budget as presented.
Finance report by Byers included working on the budget for the month of August.
Maintenance report by Gladis, mentioned Chad Landmark had been working the removal of trees in the Arthur Graslie Park. He has been working with the school on the football field, worked with Prussmans on fixing a water leak. They had a stabilization pond inspection and they will be installing depth poles to help measure the depth of the ponds.
